President Paul Kagame went to COP27 to sell his country’s green investment opportunities packaged under the “Ireme Invest” facility as promoted by Rwanda Green Fund and the Development Bank of Rwanda with seed capital of US$100 million to support private sector ventures by de-risking such climate resilient projects at early stage. To make such projects attractive to long term equity or debt investors.
That is deliberate leadership right there. Rwanda’s leadership had thought out through their participation prior to Egypt, put investment structures in place and even raised money, ready to attract even more investments.
